As the global leader in cross-device; privacy, neutrality and openness are core values at Tapad. We support efforts across all markets to better inform users of their rights to data privacy and consent. That’s why we’re pleased to support the IAB’s Transparency Consent Framework initiative with our compliance of both TCF 1.1 and TCF 2.0.
The IAB Europe’s Transparency Consent Framework is a GDPR consent solution whose purpose is to ensure all parties in the digital advertising chain comply with the EU’s GDPR and ePRivacy Directive for accessing and storing information on a user’s device; such as digital IDs. The TCF facilitates an environment where publishers can tell users what data they are collecting and how they intend to use it. On April 25, 2018 the IAB released TCF 1.1 guidelines, and followed those with updated TCF 2.0 guidelines on August 21, 2019.
The IAB requested transitioning to fully support TCF 2.0 by August 15, 2020 and we encourage our partners to transition to sending TCF 2.0 consent strings as soon as possible.
You can read more about the IAB’s TCF 2.0 transition here.
